Welcome to our blog!

In this article we will talk about how to get good photo shots using natural light correctly.

The light is in fact a fundamental element in photographs, as it gives brightness and color to our shots, and therefore must be exploited in the right way.

If you have been following me on Instagram for some time you will know that I almost always shoot outdoors, sometimes at home in front of a window, but never with ringlights or other such tools: these would disturb the sight of yours. dog, especially the flash, which should be avoided.

Here are some tips to enhance the light in your shots:

- Shoot in the hours of the day where the light does not fall directly on the subject, so not at noon or two in the afternoon. Instead, prefer the late evening hours, so as to give more liveliness to your photos.

If you shoot with an SLR, set your camera so that your photos are "underexposed", which means partially dark. It will be easier to edit them, as you just need to add a little exposure. An overexposed shot, ie with too much light, in 99% of cases is very difficult to modify, and will almost always be thrown away.

- Avoid shots where the subject is under the sun: in post production a play of light and shadow and excessive contrast will not be edited correctly, and will make your work more difficult. ⁣

- Better place your subject in a shady area If you decide to shoot at dawn, or more commonly at sunset, try to do this: position yourself in front of the sun, so as to have the subject with his back to it, while letting the rays filter through.

By setting the camera properly you can take the shot of your dreams with good light and stunning colors! (see example below)

I hope these tips have been useful to you: if you have any questions, contact me in Direct on Instagram; I'll be more than happy to give you a hand! Happy reading!
